to the everyday cup.
Etoile comes from a global health business. Our group owns pharmaceutical and manufacturing facilities in the United States and Canada, alongside our own supplement brand.
Matcha brings that interest in wellbeing into something people can enjoy every day. We like the tea ourselves: the colour, the taste and the simple act of making a cup. It gives us a reason to bring our health and product background into the café and beverage world.
Our matcha business serves independent cafés, chains, retailers and brands. We work with growing and production partners in China on ingredients, recipes and finished-product formats. The North American facilities are part of our wider group background; matcha sourcing and production are organised with these Chinese partners.
We want to build a business that lasts, through tea people enjoy and products our customers want to order again.

How do we choose a matcha?
Start with the drink or product you want to make. Tell us your preferred tea character, milk pairing, sweetness and target cost. We can then discuss relevant samples and specifications.
Are all grades organic?
Organic availability is product-specific. A grade name or soil organic matter figure does not establish organic certification. Tell us your destination market so we can match the selected tea with the applicable certificates. Explore our growing story ↗
Can you develop flavours and functional blends?
Yes. Flavour projects can explore fruit, nutty or creamy directions. Functional development can explore ingredients such as protein or peptides alongside matcha. Can you help us develop our own retail range?
Yes. We can discuss product selection, blends, pack formats and coordinated packaging for your brand. The Etoile tins shown on this site illustrate a possible range.
How does Chinese matcha compare with Japanese matcha?
Our Chinese partners work with shade-grown tea and tencha processing, also central to Japanese matcha. Our focus is on Chinese growing regions, organic options and formats for café and retail customers. Taste, colour and available certification depend on the specific tea. We recommend comparing samples in your own recipe rather than ranking a product by country alone.
What are the order quantities and lead times?
These depend on the selected product, packaging, quantity, testing and shipping requirements. We confirm the details with you before an order is agreed.
Who provides market and regulatory support?
Etoile coordinates with external specialist partners where needed. The scope and responsibilities are agreed for each project.
